June 5, 2026 is a week for the deep listeners. The headline releases are real and varied, from Niall Horan's fourth solo album to American Football's first record in nearly seven years, but the heart of this drop is a run of imported video game soundtrack CDs that almost never turn up in a record shop. Around that spotlight: new soul from Jalen Ngonda, a Lee "Scratch" Perry and Mouse on Mars collaboration, Vince Staples, the return of the Spice Girls catalog, and a stack of curated international cassettes.
